I Heart Music (Video): Lady Gaga 'Born this Way'

Ok granted this is quite out of the ordinary for MOABG to do a post on Lady Gaga (frankly the woman scares the bajesus out of me), with that said- pop makes the world go round so it's only right I shine the spot light on Gaga's new video for her single 'Born This way'.

Nothing wrong with a little snap, crackle and pop every now and then.

Press play if you dare.

Culture Vulture: Coca Cola Partners With Daft Punk

I love it when a brand thinks outside of the box. This time it's in the form of the thirst quenching drinks company Coca Cola who have appointed the French electro/pop duo Daft Punk to front Coca Cola's 'Club Coke' campaign.

Homing in the on the groups unique style, there will be limited edition coke bottles smothered in gold and silver inspired by the helmets famously adorned by Daft Punk. The special edition bottles will be packaged in collectors box as a set and will be available to purchase exclusively at the Colette in Paris.

I Heart Music (Video): Ski Beatz Ft Rugz D Bewler 'Super Bad'

The collectives over at the Creative Control head quarters seem to churning out music videos by the second-but who's complaining? Although I'm not completely blown away by Ski Beatz latest creation which also features rapper and ally Rugz D Bewler, I can at least appreciate how 'Super Bad' the track must sound on the loud speakers.

You now what to do.

Sweet like sugar..

I Heart Music (Download): J*DaVeY 'Evil Christian Cop: The Greatest Mistapes So We Can Dance'

J*DaVeY have released their new EP, Evil Christian Cop: The Great Mistapes So We Can Dance, which they are kindly giving away for free. The electonica/pop duo never fail to impress, from the intricate beats embedded within each and every track to the beautifully dark seductive vocals, only the likes of singer Briana can accomplish.
The EP also includes a commendable remake of the Nervana classic 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', oh and did I mention it's free?

Track List:
1. Smell Like Teen Spirit (Cover)
2. Quicksand
3. Raincheck
4.Trans
5.Lazy Daze

'Quicksand' played at the highest aptitude imaginable, is highly recommended. That is all.

I Heart Fashion: LFW Autumn/Winter 2011- Giles Deacon

Giles Deacon took a more dignified approach to his usual risqué and playful designs. Soliciting a potent colour contrast of black and white- Deacon's Autumn/Winter collection embraced a highly polished demeanor, enlisting just enough sparkle thanks to Swarovski black beading, which in turn facilitated an appropriate dosage of edginess.

I Heart Fashion: LFW Autumn/Winter 2011- Mulberry

The UK is renowned for producing some of the most recognizable  major players that have graced the fashion industry. Therefore; it comes as no surprise that the city which is due to host the imminent 2012 Olympics was also next in line to accommodate six flamboyant days of unadulterated  fashion affairs.

London Fashion Week 2011 has descended upon us and I am yet to hear a single word of complaint-mostly because many of us have been preoccupied with taking detailed notes on the latest lust haves trends for the seasons ahead. Take a look at at a few of my favourite muses from the most stand out collections, this side of Autumn/Winter.

Mulberry is hands down, the undisputed champion of the satchel bag, no one does leather goods like this model British designer label. As for their Autumn/winter collection- equestrian influences run deep throughout  and the exclusive, catwalk reveal of their Cash Cow handbag, gave each garment a pleasant finesse.

I Heart Music (Video): JimiJames 'Still In Your Heart'

I'l be frank with you, I've never before come across JimiJames, well perhaps I have but didn't realise it was her-any way I spotted her video 'Still In Your Heart' over at Pinboard Blog and I was instantly sold.
JimiJames you can confidently add another follower to what I'm sure is already quite an extensive list of fans.

You know what to do.

Is it me or does Jame's voice bare resemblance to Algebra Blessett's?

I Heart Music (Video): Kanye West Ft Rihanna & Kid Cudi 'All Of The Lights'

Kanye West has finally delivered the visuals for his star studded single 'All The Lights'. Although the kaleidoscopic video doesn't include all of the artists which featured on the original track, such as Elton John, Alicia Keys, Fergie, John Legend, La Roux and The Dream-it does however, feature Rihanna and Kid Cudi.

You have to hand it to West, he knows how to visually capture (with the help of Hype Williams who directed the video on this occasion) the true essence of his songs.

Thanks Team

I Heart Music (News): Notorious B.I.G Case Exposes New Evidence Suggesting LAPD Scandal

The murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G born Christopher Wallace, has gone unresolved for fourteen years, however, new evidence exposed by independent LA-based station KCAL TV have suggested that that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) tried to conceal vital evidence from the rapper's murder case.

According to the television station, LAPD officers David Mack and Rafael Perez may have been involved in the murder of B.I.G and  for the first time explosive statements made by Perez's  cell mate during his prison sentence at LA county jail, have been brought into question linking David Mack and Raphael Perez to Death Row Records- and Perez to the scene of the rapper also known as Biggie Small's murder in 1997.

Press play for more details on the case.

I Heart Music (Video): The Roots Documentary

The Legendary: A Film About The Roots from Cam Be on Vimeo.

Captured by CamBe and Jeff Baraka  'The Legendary: A Film About The Roots' is a visual ode to "The best band to ever grace the Hip Hop genre". Documentaries really do not get any better than this- especially when it features exclusive backstage footage of live shows and words spoken like true wise men, from the epic group members themselves.

Michael Kors 'Ready-To- Wear collection updates his signature 'elegant minimalism' with a suave yet luxurious, seventies inspired flair. I Heart Music (Video): Chris Brown Ft K-Mac 'Real Hip Hop Sh*t'

Wait. Where have been living? Since when did Chris Brown become a rapper?
Chris appears to be a jack of all trades (singer, actor, dancer etc) but his more recent venture into rap is the biggest shock of them all- not just because it's completely unexpected from an R 'n' B crooner like Brown but because his rhyming skills are actually quite impressive.

'Real Hip Hop Sh*t' features rapper K-Mac and the beat alone is worth pressing play.

I Heart Music: The BRIT Awards 2011 Winners

Ok, whilst It can't be denied that the BRIT Award ceremony is not to everyones liking especially for those with a more acquired taste for music or those of whom appreciate the non commercial stuff.
Nevertheless, last night was a great look for UK music and I am definitely in favour of the old adage of giving credit where credit is due. On that note, take a look at the list of winners and a few of my favourite performances of the night.

A collection consisting of sweet berets, weird but wonderful prints and finely tuned couture drenched in the most futuristic yet seductive colours-it could only be the works of Marc Jacobs.

I Heart Fashion: NYFW Autumn/Winter Herve Leger

Known and adored for his signature bandage dresses, Herve Leger took to the catwalk with enough bandage to tie a bow around what has already been a heightened fashion week. Infusing metallic chains with fetish inspired leather embellishments, Leger has unfathomably managed to elevate the bodycon dress to a whole new dimension of sexy.

The copper orange, bodycon is officially on my 'most wanted' list!

I Heart Fashion: NYFW Autumn/Winter Donna Karan

It is the most hotly anticipated event of the year and if you've tried to get in contact with your favourite fashionista within the last week, chances are he or she is glued to the cat walk awaiting their first fashion fix of the year at New York Fashion Week 2011.

This year, the fashion heirachy as well as a few new kids on the block (in fashion years of course) have upped the ante with a slew of autumn tones, fetching furs, proud elegance and unhinged modern textures adorned on the most exquisite designs.

I like attention to detail in the tailoring and the creative make up of a design, so naturally I was drawn to Donna Karan's hauntingly beautiful modern stamp on classic elegance.

Adore with caution!

I Heart Music (Video): J Cole Ft Drake 'In The Morning'

Finally the video for J Cole's   'In The Morning' has arrived.  Featuring Drake and shot whilst accompanying him on his Light Dreams and Nightmare tour, Cole has produced what was possibly the most sexy R 'n' B tinged rap collaboration of 2010 and I'm sure his female and moupie fans alike, will appreciate the video in all its glory.

You know what to do.

I Heart Music (Video): Teedra Moses 'R U 4 Real'

Taken from her mixtape 'Royal Patience' which dropped March last year, the underground songstress Teedra Moses has released a video for her latest track 'R U 4 Real', a soft melodic song produced by Drummer Boy.
Hopefully, Teedra's new visual offering marks a nearing  and well over due sophomore album.

"Be careful what you set your heart upon, for it will surely be yours"

Today is the only day of the year where a todler wearing nothing but his nappy, armed with a sparrow-can go completely unnoticed by child protection. Why? Because love is in the air and everyone knows Cupid is the only person that can magically transform non believers of love into unashamed victims of it and all whilst making a fierce fashion statement in his dazzling white nappy.

For all those that are in need of an acoustic hug and kiss, this one is for you..

Happy Valentines Day!

Flash Back Friday: Alfonzo Hunter 'Just The Way (Playas Play)'

So many memories come flooding to mind at the press of play, of this huge 90's R 'n' B track. Produced by Erkic Sermon and christened with Alfonzo's laid back vocals, I can remember this song being on heavy cassette tape rotation back in tha' day- pre iPod.

Listen, breathe and reminisce.

I Heart Music (Audio): Mar Covers Slum Village's '2U4U'

'2U4U' is the ultimate baby making Slum Village track produced by the late greatest J Dee. Mar's hypnotic vocals over a classic Dilla beat is a perfect recipe for seductive music, an aspiration quite difficult to achieve if you don't have the right credentials. Luckily For Mar he beholds all the right qualities to pull it off.
Taken from the first 'Variation' of 2011, press play and enjoy good music.

I Heart Fashion: Anne Summers Reveal New Lingerie Collection

New York Fashion week may be in full bloom  but Anne Summers' new collection of sexy lingerie possess enough heat to set any catwalk ablaze with untamed and desirable underwear. Anne Summers has been at the epicenter of raunchy underwear for decades, so when the label decided to dip it's toe in the sophisticated shores of classy lingerie, there were plenty of raised eyebrows.
Oh how I love it when the skeptics are proved wrong-check out Anne Summers' lush collection of elegant lingerie.

Adore with caution!

Anne Summers, sophisticated? Who'd of thunk it!
