The African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust is in dire need of your help. Due to a decline in the charity's funding, the ACLT is at the risk of closure.
Read below for full details on how you can help.
"PLEASE help Save the ACLT charity from closing its doors
In a nutshell, we have 3 months to raise £80K to keep us going for a further 6 months
We currently need to raise at least £80,000 by the end of March 2011 to cover our core costs until September 2011
The £80,000 is a short term measure that buys us more vital time to apply for further sources of funding in the mid to long term. Of course there are no guarantees we will be able to secure new long term funding, but this is our only hope for survival whilst we seek further funds
What we are doing about it?
Our office team held an emergency meeting to discuss ways of trying to avert our closure. We are contacting everybody we can to take action and assist us with our emergency strategy.
But we really need your help too...
How you can Help
We appreciate these are difficult times for everyone, but truly believe in the community spirit that has brought us together over the years will prevail
As the saying goes a mighty river starts with a single drop, If everyone can make a contribution in some way, however small, together we can raise £80K or more in time
Imagine if 5,000 people gave £5 a month for 3 months = £75,000 + Gift Aid = £96,000
